I love this time of year! Here are two Christmas songs I have recorded in the past, followed by a list (with YouTube video links) of some of my favorite carols. Enjoy!
Breath of Heaven - Written by Chris Eaton/Amy Grant
Written from the perspective of Mary, Amy Grant described the song as a "prayer that fits a lot of people's circumstances, because it is a cry of mercy."
What Child Is This - Words and Music by William Chatterdon Dix
Interesting fact: When William Chatterdon Dix was writing this song in 1865, he was afflicted with a severe illness that left him bedridden and very depressed. This experience brought about a spiritual renewal for him, where he read the Bible comprehensively and was inspired to write other hymns.
